Theres only two weeks of school left! I am excited and also nervous. These next two weeks are going to be tough with a lot of homework. But soon enough it will all be over which I am not too excited for. I am also happy I don’t really have any finals either. All my teachers moved up everything so I will be done by May 1st!

Barack Obama stands for many different issues and therefore sends out many key messages. My group discussed some of the key messages we want Obama to target for our age group. Politicians need the right key messages and tactics to reach the younger audience.Education was one of the major key messages we would want him to address. With so many college students graduating with loans, students want this issue to be attacked. Our group came up with one idea of fixed loan rates. Also for the interest on loans to be lower so it is easier for college students to pay them back. One of the biggest issues facing our whole country is the Iraq war. Our next president needs to address this problem and solve it. The country’s economy is also in trouble and we would like the candidates to come up with a solution to this problem. Many college students face losing their health care upon graduation. We need our next president to help out the younger generation and the problems they are going to face. We would want Obama to get this country to provide healthcare for college students and graduates. There are many people who can influence college students to take a stand and vote.

I really feel like I can’t blog anymore. Honestly I don’t even see the point of doing it anymore, it is just kind of annoying. I feel like I have to force myself to write about something when usually I have nothing interesting to write about. Graduation is right around the corner and it really is bitter sweet. I picked up my cap and gown and it seemed so unreal. I remember doing that senior year in highschool it seems like last year!!!! I am really nervous tonight because in the morning I have an interview with Bristol- Myers Squibb. I feel like I can’t do enough to prepare for it! Whatever, hopefully it goes well. I am so overwhelmed with school work, I just want to be like **** this I AM GRADUATING!!!

So as graduation approaches I am getting more and more nervous about not being a college student anymore. I know later on down the path, I do want to attend graduate school but just not yet. Recently I went to career services and I can not believe what a great help they are. I wish I didn’t wait til now to go, but they help you with everything. After talking to a woman there, I have way more hope of finding a job that I actually want then I ever did before. Rider offers alot of programs through career services that are also very helpful. I recommend that everyone take advantage of career services.
